We had a great meal at Rigo! What a nice surprise! Fantastic local restaurant! Great flavors, quality and menu. Best pizza in Hawaii. The salami/jalepeno pizza is a must! The eggplant appetizer is also highly recommended Super friendly and prompt service. Love it here and we will be back!

Yesterday, we had lunch at Rigo. We ordered: * Jamon Serrano * Rigo Caesar Salad - romaine wedge with creamy homemade anchovy caesar dressing, croutons, bacon, cottage cheese and black sesame tuile * Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza - prosciutto, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, black olives, mixed cheese and grana padano * Carbonara with Portabella Fritto - fresh spaghetti with pancetta, onion, fresh cream, egg yolk, pepper, garlic, olive oil and portabella fritto We always order jamon. The salad was a nice appetizer. The highlight is always the pizza; we can't get this taste anywhere else. It was my first time trying the carbonara. I enjoyed it very much. Our server, Fuzuki, was friendly and attentive. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/KoGg7A9by5ktWpv5/

We came here without a reservation, on the recommendation of some local friends. We were able to sit at the bar, which turned out to be a benefit! The bartenders were fantastic, very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. My wife and I shared a large Caesar salad, which was wonderful. I had gluten free pasta with their bolognese sauce, which was delicious. My wife had the Cacio e Pepe pasta, with fried prosciutto, which she said was also delicious. They have a very nice selection of whiskeys, and serve them neat in a proper Glencairn Glass. I had the Rittenhouse Rye and then the Kaiya Kurt Japanese Whisky, both very nice. The ambience is fun, including an old bank vault door.

Parking: they have a small parking lot in the back, but I think some people might park at Safeway across the street and walk over *wink wink Service: the server was very attentive and quickly accommodated our extra addition to the table Drink: butterfly pea tea lemonade- super yummy! A little sweet but not overpowering...I could go with a little less sugar next time, but overall not bad Food: Salad- very refreshing Patatas Bravas- that spicy sauce though...so flavorful! Crostini- probably my favorite thing I ate...just don't put too much honey that is on the plate or you might get overwhelmed with sweetness. Shrimp- cooked well and the chili oil was a nice kick Seafood paella- I loveee paella and this one was it for me! Very tasty! Funghi pizza: I was a little sad with this one since the other pictures had wayyyy more mushroom...we didn't have much on ours, but the taste was good...would've been better if we had more mushrooms though. Bolognese- nothing over the top, a classic that you can't go wrong with Carbonara- the meat was really salty...so you can't eat a lot so I'm glad we shared Squid ink pasta- probably my favorite out of all the pastas! Just keep a napkin or two handy! The flavor was perfect and not overwhelming. Ham platter- everything was really fresh and paired well with each other. Tiramisu- a perfect ending to a meal...it was a lot bigger than I thought. I wish I had enough space in my stomach to finish it. Very light and creamy. Overall: I would for sure come back! Not even a question why this place is so popular.
